Uma descoberta da Trend Micro mostra que as medidas de segurança tomadas por bancos online estão levando cibercriminosos a utilizar um tipo de ferramenta de vírus que realiza o roubo de dinheiro de computadores comprometidos de forma invisível aos titulares.

Back in 2007, I participated in a panel discussion about full disclosure. Half the members wanted software vulnerabilities kept secret — give the developer time to fix the problem. The other half argued for making the vulnerabilities public — force the developers’ hand.

The moderator didn’t like a tie, and tried as hard as he could to change the outcome, but the members were resolute.

Fast forward to 2010.

Crimes na web: Trojans brasileiros roubam contas bancárias

Ao invés de capturar as credenciais do Internet Banking ou direcionar os usuários para páginas de phishing, os cibercriminosos estão agora roubando dinheiro das contas bancárias usando o próprio computador das vítimas, de maneira automatizada, copiando funções presentes em trojans bancários mais antigos e complexos, como o Zeus e o Carberp.
